BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Sandy Ng (17) became the youngest national champion since Anna Calderon, who won five in a row in the early ’80s started her string at 16.  Ng defeated Theresa McCourt in an 11-6 tiebreaker.

Tyree Bastidas (Preparing to blast a kill in the final) earned the Men’s title while still a teenager (19) with a final win over Willie Polanco.

While Bastidas stopped Polanco’s bid for a slam, Ng was the rare slammer this year, teaming with Danielle Daskalakis to defeat Dori Ten and Barbara Canton-Jackson in a final tiebreaker.

Dan Zimet and Dave Sheldon won the Masters doubles round robin in rules tiebreaker as all three teams had a win and a loss.

Playing small ball for less than a year Daniel Torres slammed in the C, teaming with Jon Sese in the doubles after defeating his teammate for the singles title.
